Don’t You Grow Up, My Child!

The morning sun, gleaming through your eyes
The cool breeze, caressing your gentle smile.
The world stands before you, waiting to be explored
Your curious innocent mind starts wandering,
through the mysteries that sprawl in its woods.

***

Your desires tempt you,
towards this mystic illusion
But, don’t you grow up my child,
for this world is just an immense void of seclusion.

***

This endless utopia you seem to relish,
is on the brink of its closure
Make sure you exploit it,
before you find yourself surrounded by greedy ambitions and fuckin’ hypocrites.

***

You’re whining and throwing tantrums, I see,
to abscond, from your cradle full of toys and flee.
You’re aching to walk on your own,
with all the strength in your tender bones.
You’re bored crawling on the floor
But, don’t you grow up my child,
you’ll eventually walk out through the front door,
to explore this world full of ambiguous fallacies,
And, I won’t be able to see you anymore…
